Changing in perspective and opinion.

Judging by the kind of person I am now, I am either becoming someone else or I've improved myself. Whichever it is, I am happy with the way I am now *not physical! I'm still struggling to change that!*.

Say that someone come up to me and say/ask;
"Hey, did you know that husbands in Yemen are too conservative that they don't allow their wives to get a real job/career? They just make their wives stay at home to raise children. How cruel, narrow-minded and mean is that? Don't they think that women are human who have goals and sense of achievement as well?"

2 years ago I would've say something like this;
"OMG! Really?! I think the guys are just a bunch of wussies who cannot accept competition from the opposite sex! They are just afraid that the wives will come up with socialist body/organization against them claiming for freedom and stuff. Man! What a bunch of loser!"

But now, I would reply to your rhetorical question like this;
"Yemen is one of the poorest country in the Middle East. Unlike Saudi Arabia that has Mecca and holy places for the Muslim around nationwide to visit and contribute to their tourism. Yemen on the other hand has nothing besides undiscovered oil underneath their land. Knowing that Yemen is a poor country that has no stable economy condition, would you still wanna go there for a career search? Maybe you would if it's a "doctor" or "lawyer" position, but what about babysitting? Do you wanna go to Yemen to work as babysitter in such poorly economy condition? No? Just as I thought. So the husbands clearly have their solid reasons to why they're keeping their wives inside the house to raise the children. Cause if they don't, we would've seen the Yemeni version of "The Devil Wears Prada". LOL!"

I hope I don't sound too obnoxious or cocky, I'm just making my point that we cannot boldly conclude something just based on the surface problems. We should know a little bit about the bottom details to make a conclusive and reasonable conclusion.

How? Read a lot and try to see things from others perspectives. If things still go wrong, then you shouldn't be having any problem expressing your solid reasons/points.
