Malaysia rank at no 66 of the best place to live.

The best place to live rank is determined based on life expectation that was affected by the standard of living of the citizen in a country. Standard of living includes medications, financial and ways of living.

The number one rank of the best place to live is Norway and on the bottom rank lies Niger just below Afghanistan. Top 10 countries including Norway are Australia, Iceland, Canada, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden, France, Switzerland and Japan. Malaysia rank at number 66.

There are a total of 182 countries and ranks in the Human Development reports. In this 182 ranks, there are four categories of human development status which are Very High Human Development (1 - 38), High Human Development (39 - 83), Medium Human Development (84 - 158) and Low Human Development (158 - 182).

Although we (Malaysia) lies at the 66th rank in the High Human Development category, there is nothing to be proud of since we are way back from our tiny neighbour; Singapore at 23 and Brunei at 30. There are still a lot more things to be done for our very own beloved country instead of being ashamed of it and decide to migrate to the top 10 best human development country. Australia is the country that has many Malaysian outside of Malaysia. Although Australia is a chosen country for most migrated Malaysian, note that the Aussies do not like Malaysian or Malaysia very well. Besides, migrating isn't the best idea or way to escape from your own country because of its standards of living. One has to work hard to earn something good and better, and that is exactly what we, the Malaysian are suppose to do if we want Malaysia to be one of the Very High Human Development country.

Instead of mocking the higher rank countries because of their ignorance, perhaps we should really be focusing on bringing ourselves forward in educational and better living, but of course a country with so many races in it often face difficulty when it comes to politic matters. Well, if the Malay population is 80% of all the Malaysian population, there will certainly be no problem to make them leading everything because it 'Malay'sia we're talking about. We can certainly make sense that Malaysia belongs to the Malay people and accept the fact that they have the right to lead. However, since the race ratio is too big for each race among our population which is 65% of Malays and other Bumiputera, 26% Chinese, 8% Indians and 1% for other unlisted ethnic groups (total of 27million as of the September 2008, which made Malaysia the 43rd most populated county in the world!). Therefore, justice has to take over Malaysia's politic role to equalize treatments on all races and ethnic with more privileges lies to the Malays.

Sadly, most people fail to look at this matter that we are living in Malaysia. Instead of bringing themselves forward to achieve better life with education, they do something that eventually waste their time like struggling something to achieve better for their race. To struggle for your race is good but why do you have to make it so harsh that could bring up more controversial episode that will ruin the harmony among the Malaysian? We maybe different at race but we are still Malaysian.

That is what people been doing for ages. Instead of struggling for their own country, they prefer to struggle for their tiny race which leads to nowhere. Mat Salleh battle against the British for the Bajau's and Rentap battle against the British for the Iban and you know the outcomes for their efforts. That's the reality of the history. Mat Salleh never fought British for Sabah. Rentap never fought British for Sarawak. They fought for their own race and now after Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj struggle peacefully for Malaysia's independence you want to mess it up again for your so called race rights struggle?? You ain't going no where dude. Demand for better treatment is okay but demand to take control over your own race just to make more leaders that will talk more politics bullshit and spend their time to do more debates in the parliament than taking real actions is even more stupider than any other idea of creating peace. What makes you think that'll do us more better?

If we are to maintain such racist behavior, we are going to be worst than the Indonesian hatred asses. Here we are now still playing hard on the politics instead of doing good for the county. Sad isn't it?

By the way, here's the site of the HDI ranks.
