Have you ever watch the Malaysian local horror movie entitled "Histeria"? I just watched it and in my opinion, it's one of the good horror movie ever produced by our own local movie producers. I mean it. Although the story has a classic plot of one-by-one-men-down by a ghostly predator, but the idea of making it happen among the female students in the dormitory area is rather a good one, and the actresses involved did very well into making this movie as scary as possible. Junita , bossy and flirtatious; Marina, bossy and bully; Tini, loud and annoying; Kerek, emotional and easily panic; Alissa, bully, brave and protective; Murni, shy and obedient; lastly Zeta, lesbian, jealousy and friendly. They have all done a very great job into bringing their characters to life in this movie. Never did once these characters irritate me with an obvious created dialogues nor annoying overacting scene. They were almost perfect and flawless compared to some of the adult actors/actresses. Therefore I would like to congratulate James Lee by picking up these marvelous actresses to act in his movie and also to the actresses themselves.
However, I'm quite confuse of the movie classification that was classified as U - General viewing for all ages because there are so many blood and brutal murders involve in this movie which I think should be re-classified as 18PL - For 18+ with a combination of two or more elements. The blood, brutal cuts and the exposed human flesh effect was great as well, although the blood spatters and spreads still look un-real to me (I watch CSI too much). The ghostly figures was good too especially the jembalang and the female vampire which eventually have a very bad hair day :). Oh! Another spoiled part of this movie is the camera cap/hood or whatever you call it, could be seeing quite obviously somewhere in the 12:39 of the movie. Local movie producers really should make more horror movie with good effects and good story plot that is almost perfect and flawless (especially ones without the boom-mike spoils!!).
Now, about ghosts thing. I was quite obsessed with ghost research since I was in form 1 in my high school education, because only that time I have internet connection at home that made the research activity possible for me. Almost every page I read says that ghosts, also referred to as an entity or lost souls of the dead that appeared almost real and clear to the living human sight, could not hurt or even kill the living ones except causing a serious heart attack that eventually killed the witnesses. Some say that a little greeting from the entity could caused mysterious visible bruises on human body parts or illness if the person ever get "greeted".
By scientific means, entities are built up by lots and lots of negatively charged electron particles due to the negative and positive charges collision in the condense air around us. I sure hope you remember the science lesson in high school about how the rain storm occurred. It's just the same thing, as the higher and colder gas molecules are positively charged and the bottom ones are warm and negatively charged. When these two molecules collides with each other, it produces negatively electron charges. Since our body are in positively charged, we will eventually feel the light electrostatic effect on our skin as the electron makes our body's hair reacted to it. Just the same as the comb that was brushed against the cotton wool and attracts the papers or our hair to stand. Since the back of our neck skin has many receptors and hair, therefore the reaction pressures can be felt almost immediately on the back of our neck. That explains why we feel mysteriously scared and creepy during cold weather or the cold night when the air condense are pretty high. It's weird how we never heard people feel creepy or ghost stories occurred during the bright sunny day because that's the time the air condense are at the normal phase or minimal phase.
In some ghost hunting I've watched on TV, if the creeps happen to be in the house, it could be caused by the bad electricity wiring or even the concrete used to build the house. Some concrete absorbs air molecules on the other side and release it on the other side and produces sounds during the process. The sounds sound almost like the ocean or light clapping sound but often mistaken by people as a party sound. Still, this science theory could not explain about ghostly faces or figured people see with their own eyes. Psychiatrist made lots of explanation regarding to the sanity level and simply categorized it as Spectrophobia which means fear towards specters or ghost, if the patients talk lots of crap about seeing ghost and over feared to their own words or any invisible ghostly figured that only they can see. Yet again, whether the explanation was made scientifically, psychiatric-ally, biologically... it's all just theories. Nobody can give a true definition of ghosts but the Almighty himself for it is Him who have created everything including us and the earth we're living in.
