Gurindam Jiwa~

This is one of the many songs my mother used to sing when I was little despite all the bedtime stories she told me before I was asleep. Even until now, I'm still humming this song wherever I go. I didn't even realize it until my friends hit me with sarcastic talks and called me an old school, but what can I do? It's a song that I find hard to forget. What's weirder is, I actually love this song. Sometimes, the local radio stations put it on air and when they did, my activities got freezes and I listen to the whole song and then continue my work. I know... "The Irony!!!"

Moreover, this song kinda gives me the "feeling". I don't know exactly how to express this feeling, but in my own words I call it 'Sweet Misery'. Because, it's a till-death-do-us-part kind of love song. I like the love part but I hate the death part, but it will eventually come to us one day, which is why I hate it because death doesn't care whether you love the person or not. It just takes your beloved away when the time has come, whether you like it or not.

This reminds me to a touching funny dialogue in Yasmin Ahmad's movie which I forget what the title was. It sounded similar to this:

Wife: Bang, kalau Mah mati pagi esok, abang nak buat apa?
Husband: Mah matilah dulu.
Wife: ??!!
Husband: Yelah, kalau abang mati dulu, abang tak sampai hati nak tengok Mah sedih duduk sorang2 kat rumah buruk ni. Lagipun, kan abang dah janji kat Mah, tak nak buat Mah sedih sampai bila2.

I know, it's jiwang... but somehow I like it. It's sweet and funny. :)

Ps: Don't blame me for being jiwang because I can't run away from my Pisces traits!!
